Small Escapes, Big Impact

Even a brief break from the physical, emotional and financial burdens of cancer can shift perspectives, offering fresh hope and healing. Help us in our mission to provide a "break" to local cancer patients!

Making Your Generosity Count

We have been able to negotiate "donation match" and bulk purchase agreements with many of our partners which means that your donation goes even further to help bless the lives of local cancer patients!

OUR WHY:

WHAT WE DO

WHY WE DO IT

HOW YOU CAN HELP

We provide "JUST-a-BREAK" from cancer—whether it's a relaxing night out or a couple of days away—completely free for patients with advanced-stage cancer. With the support of generous local businesses, donors, volunteers, and the collaboration of hospitals and cancer centers, JUST-a-BREAK offers relief from the emotional and financial burdens of living with cancer.

As caregivers of loved ones with advanced-stage cancer, we understand firsthand how a simple getaway can provide a much-needed emotional boost. We know the financial strain cancer treatments bring, often making even a small night out feel out of reach. That's why we're committed to offering these moments of relief to as many cancer patients as possible.
We rely on the support of local businesses and donors to provide overnight accommodations, dinners, event tickets, and more for our JUST-a-BREAK packages. We're also looking for volunteers to help connect with local businesses and share the JUST-a-BREAK story. If you're interested in helping us achieve our mission, click "Get Involved" below for more information.
"THANK YOU so much! With this UGLY cancer, chemo, radiation, daily appointments, constant throwing up, nausea and the brutal toll it has had on my body it is hard to do anything. It will be so nice to go to dinner and a movie with my husband and forget about "cancer" for a few hours! Thanks to all the people and your organization for making it possible to enjoy "Just-a-break!"
